Our Research Semester Programme aims to create an environment in which researchers from Dutch universities can exchange ideas on specific topics on a regular basis.

Our research groups

Research at CWI is organized in 15 research groups. We conduct pioneering research in mathematics and computer science, generate new knowledge and convey it to industry and society.

Collaboration with universities

CWI considers it important to link its own scientific research to education and training at universities. Currently, more than thirty CWI researchers hold part-time appointments at nine Dutch universities.

CWI conducts pioneering research in mathematics and computer science and transfers new knowledge to society and business. CWI works closely with Dutch universities through semester programmes, joint research programs and an active exchange of scientific talent.
