Research

Van Ossenbruggen carries out research in the field of information access, in particular on supporting transparency and provenance throughout the data chain. He is working in application domains such as cultural heritage data and other linked open data and Web-based data integration projects. He is currently active in the COMMIT SealincMedia project where he works on supporting tool criticism to improve scholarly research in the digital humanities. He obtained his PhD in computer science from the VU University Amsterdam in 2001.
