Smart Textiles and the Internet of Things

On 26 September CWI researchers will be presenting their smart textiles research at a symposium on Smart Textiles and the Internet of Things at the Royal College of Art in London, one of the world's leading art and design universities.

On 26 September CWI researchers Pablo Cesar, Sergio Cabrero Barros,  Jack Jansen, and Steven Pemberton from the Distributed and Interactive Systems (DIS) research group will be presenting at a symposium on Smart Textiles and the Internet of Things at the Royal College of Art in London, one of the world's leading art and design universities.

Pablo Cesar will be speaking on physiological sensors and the creative  industries, Sergio Cabrero Barros on using smart textiles to sense audiences at events, Steven Pemberton on  unified access to the Internet of Things, and Jack Jansen on creating  appliances for unified access. CWI’s Distributed and Interactive Systems (DIS) research group focuses on  facilitating and improving the way people access media and communicate with others and with the environment. They address key problems for  society and science, resulting from the dense connectivity of content,  people, and devices. The group uses recognized scientific methods,  following a full-stack, experimental, and human-centered approach.
