Biography: Dr. Andrew Lensen is a Senior Lecturer (Pūkenga Matua) in Artificial Intelligence (Atamai Horihori) at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington, Aotearoa/New Zealand. His core research interests center around explainable AI, genetic programming, unsupervised learning (nonlinear dimensionality reduction), and real-world/interdisciplinary AI in New Zealand. He is also interested in the social and ethical implications of AI and aspects of deep learning, such as embedding/manifold learning methods.
