This is to announce the online lecture by Cordian Riener (UiT The Artic University of Norway) on the subject of "Symmetries in algorithmic questions in real algebraic geometry", within the Marie-Curie ITN Network POEMA (Polynomial Optimization, Efficiency through Moments and Algebra).
Abstract Part I:
Symmetries in Semidefinite programming In the first lecture we will survey how symmetry-reduction can be used to simplify semi-definite programs which are invariant by the action of a group. We will introduce fundamental notions from representation theory and show how this framework can be used to exploit symmetries.
