The QuSoft on-line seminar this week is with Kelvin Loh: Quantify and Quantum Inspire (A variational case study).
Abstract: This talk is about recent efforts between Orange Quantum Systems and the aQa group from Leiden University to use Quantify as a data acquisition framework to run variational algorithms (e.g. H2 VQE on multiple hardware and simulator backends). The talk is mainly a live demonstration of how we interfaced Quantify with the Quantum Inspire platform using CIRQ as a circuit simulator and the circuit ansatz generator for running a simple H2 VQE on Quantum Inspire. The results of the study help inform the interface requirements for efficiently executing NISQ algorithms (e.g. variational quantum algorithms) on a quantum computer.
