Van Hemelrijk-prize for best master thesis

Rutger Kerkkamp has been awarded the Van Hemelrijk-prize for the best master thesis in 2014 in the field of Statistics and Operations Research in the Netherlands.

Rutger Kerkkamp has been awarded the Van Hemelrijk-prize for the best master thesis in 2014 in the field of Statistics and Operations Research in the Netherlands.

Kerkkamp has written his thesis at Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica under supervision of Rob van der Mei in the context of the research project Reactive to Proactive (REPRO) management of ambulance services.

The project is carried out in collaboration with the Delft Institute for Applied Mathematics (DIAM). His thesis  was previously awarded the final grade 10, which is highly  exceptional. Kerkkamp graduated with honors from TU Delft and is currently PhD student at Erasmus University Rotterdam.
