CWI's Steven Pemberton will give a lightning talk during the annual Amsterdam Internet New Year’s Event on 17 January 2019. The event is organized by over 30 Internet and Web related organizations, such as ISOC.nl, RIPE NCC and W3C Benelux (hosted at CWI).

CWI's Steven Pemberton will give a lightning talk during the annual Amsterdam Internet New Year’s Event on 17 January 2019. The event is organized by over 30 Internet and Web related organizations, such as ISOC.nl, RIPE NCC and W3C Benelux (hosted at CWI). 

Apart from the lightning talks there will be a lively chairmen's debate, a dinner buffet, the Bits of Freedom Quiz, the Internet Innovation Award and many visitors from the Dutch Internet community to meet, coming from web standards and research organizations, accessibility and front-end design, digital civil rights organizations, government and registries.

The event takes place on Thursday evening 17 January 2019 in De Tolhuistuin, IJpromenade 2, 1031 KT Amsterdam, opposite Amsterdam CS at the other side of het IJ. The dinner buffet starts at 6 PM and the lightning talks at 7.00 PM.

Access is free for people working for Web and Internet related organizations (also research institutes) but only after registration on https://newyear.isoc.nl (please register soon, as the number of participants is limited).
