Biography
Irene is a content editor and senior communications advisor at CWI. She began her career as a journalist for the Belgian national newspaper De Morgen and spent nearly 25 years at Amsterdam UMC (formerly the Academic Medical Center). There, she served as a communications advisor for the hospital’s two largest divisions and was editor-in-chief of its external journal. She also co-managed the website amsterdamumc.org.
At CWI, Irene is responsible for the general content on cwi.nl and the institute’s social media channels. She is also available to advise on the communication of scientific research.
