At the EuroITV 2008 conference in Salzburg (Austria), Pablo Cesar, Dick Bulterman and Jack Jansen received the Best Paper Award for their article:  'Usages of the Secondary Screen in an Interactive Television Environment: Control, Enrich, Share, and Transfer Television Content'.

This article describes an innovative approach to expanding the interaction possibilities of an end-user in an interactive television framework. The paper details the use of a hand-held personal remote control as a secondary interaction device, and describes the results of several user studies that were used to evaluate the work.
