Electric Vehicle Aggregator

The switch to renewable energy has major consequences for our future energy system. Researchers from the Intelligent Systems group of Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica address the technological requirements for the transition to a sustainable European energy market. The researchers developed a simulation tool called Electric Vehicle Aggregator (EVA), to explore how the flexibility resulting from the aggregated charging of a fleet of electric vehicles, can be turned into business opportunities. The Amsterdam grid provides a specific local opportunity to fuel the cars with locally generated resources.
