Thursday, 28 October: Visit of the experimental facilities at the departments of Applied Physics and Electric Engineering of Eindhoven University of Technology for interested participants. (We recommend you to stay in your hotel in Amsterdam and to travel to Eindhoven by direct train within 80 minutes, thus avoiding traffic jams.)

From Schiphol Amsterdam Airport (AMS) to Hotel Casa 400 Amsterdam. Take the train to Amsterdam Amstel Station. Within three minutes walk from the Amstel Station you will find the hotel. Follow directions to the Julianaplein. On the left side of the Fortis building you can take the tunnel. Take the first street on your right and then the first street on your left, Eerste Ringdijkstraat. From there you can already see the hotel at the end of the street.
From Hotel Casa 400 Amsterdam to Amsterdam Science Park. Walk to busstop Amstelstation and take Citybus 40 destination Muiderpoortstation. Get off at busstop Science Park.Citybus 40 leaves every 15 minutes.The distance from the hotel to Science Park is approximately 3 km. It is possible to rent a bike at the hotel reception.

From Schiphol Amsterdam Airport (AMS) to Bastion Hotel Amsterdam/ Centrum-Noord. Take the train to Amsterdam Central Station, then take bus 32 or 36 to Amsterdam Noord; these buses depart every 15 minutes. Get off the bus at bus stop Waddenweg. The hotel is right ahead.
From Bastion Hotel Amsterdam/ Centrum-Noord to Amsterdam Science Park. Go to the busstop "Rode Kruisstraat" in 3 minutes. Take Citybus 33 destination Centraal Station. Get off at busstop CS Bus Oost. Walk to trainstation platform 13b. Take local train, destination Almere. The train departs at **:18 or **:48 from platform 13b and arrives, in 10 minutes, at trainstation Science Park. Walk to Sciencepark. The distance from the hotel to Science Park is approximately 12.8 km.
Instead of taking the bus to Central Station, you can walk for a bit more than 2 km through a rather green environment towards the north coast of Het IJ and take the free and frequent boat that takes you to the backside of the station.

From Schiphol Amsterdam Airport (AMS) to Bastion Hotel Amsterdam/ Amstel. Take the train to Amsterdam Duivendrecht, then take the underground 50-51 to Amsterdam Amstel. Get off at Over Amstel Station. Leave the station and walk towards the crossroads; cross the crossroads. The hotel is 50 meters down the road, on the right, just below the viaduct. The underground departs every 10 minutes.
From Bastion Hotel Amsterdam/ Amstel to Amsterdam Science Park. Walk to the metrostation Over Amstel. Take metro 51 destination Amsterdam Centraal Station and get off at Amsterdam Amstel Station. Take Citybus 40 destination Muiderpoortstation. Get off at busstop Science Park. Citybus 40 leaves every 15 minutes.The distance from the hotel to Science Park is approxiamtely 5 km.
