The activities of the Personnel & Organization department are subdivided in a number of main categories:

  • Facilitating recruitment, transfer and outflow of staff
    • implementation of recruitment procedures (also the non-EC employees)
    • promoting flexibility of staff; management of outflow / outplacement of staff (including the legal procedures)
    • counselling the management on recruitment and selection policy
    • maintenance of staff surveys
    • supervising the staff review process (performance interviews, PDP, appraisal)
    • age-conscious personnel policy
  • Terms of employment
    • active participation in the deliberation with the Works Council and in the NWO Employers Association
    • drafting and updating collective and local terms of employment
    • job rating procedures
    • facilitating annual payment differentiation
    • housing for foreigners
  • Occupational health and safety: Arbo-policy
  • Providing information
    • management information like: drafting job descriptions and ratings, ratio permanent/temporary staff, absenteeism, fluctuation of staff
    • general information, through public announcements on all kinds of personnel-related matters, participation in Works Council meetings, introductions for new personnel
    • people database
    • organizing HR-related events
  • Organization of development activities
    • evaluation of organizational changes
    • management development activities
    • developing career paths for specific categories of personnel and individuals
  • Implementation of HRM framework document
    • introduction and implemtation of PDP's
    • introduction and implemtation of new job rating system policy
  • Contributing to the organizational development of the Service Departments and themes within CWI
