CWI researcher Farhad Arbab was honoured by Sharif University of Technology in Iran as one of its fifty most outstanding alumni over the past fifty years. The alumni were selected for both their technical achievements and service to the society.

Renewable energy

Dynamic pricing can be used to balance future energy grids which depend on renewable energy. CWI researcher Nicolas Höning developed several market mechanisms and pricing strategies which are useful for planning and balancing electricity supply and demand.
