Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica (CWI) is the national research institute for mathematics and computer science in the Netherlands. We conduct pioneering research in these fields and transfer our results to society.

On 25 April 2016, the first national top level domain, .nl, celebrated its 30th anniversary. On 25 April 1986, CWI took care of registering the NL top level domain in the framework of its international and national networking activities.

What does the audience feel? CWI researchers are running an experiment with wearable sensors to understand if sensor technology can be used to measure audience engagement during a jazz concert. The experiment will run during a concert of the Tobias Hoffmann Trio & Maarten Hogenhuis at the Goethe-Institut Amsterdam on April 29th 2016, 20h.
