Introduction Relational Database; Database Architectures; programming experience in Java and C; English

Terms:

Knowledge about major recent developments in database technology; experience in using XQuery

Content:

A Column-Store Database Architecture, The kernel algorithms, Sensor and Streaming Databases, XML and XQuery

Grading:

grading is based on a written exam in December on the material studied in the second half, the report on key-stores and the prototype implementation. All should results in grades >5.5. The final grade is the rounded average over the three grades.
