Biography
Hoang Luong currently works as a postdoctoral researcher in the Life Sciences and Health group at Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica (CWI), Amsterdam, The Netherlands. He also conducted his Ph.D. research at CWI in the Intelligent and Autonomous Systems group. He received the B.S. degree in Information Technology from University of Science, Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam in 2008, the M.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Sungkyunkwan University, Suwon, South Korea in 2011.Research
Hoang Luong’s research is concerned with designing scalable evolutionary algorithms and their applications in real-world optimization. His Ph.D. research involved solving electricity distribution network expansion planning problems. Hoang Luong currently works on designing efficient multi-objective evolutionary algorithms to assist radiation oncologists in brachytherapy planning for cancer treatment.
