Biography

Gabriele Spini earned his Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the university of Milan in 2011, and his Master's degree in Mathematics from the universities of Milan and Bordeaux in 2013, within the Algant-Master double degree program. In 2013, he was awarded an Algant-Doc PhD fellowship, for a joint-degree program between the universities of Leiden and Bordeaux, in cooperation with CWI. In 2017, he obtained a post-doc fellowship at the Cryptology research group of CWI, Amsterdam.

Research

Gabriele Spini’s research interest are cryptography and coding theory; he notably published articles contributing to secret sharing, secure multi-party computation, secure message transmission and secure network coding. He is currently involved in the project “Secure Multi-Party Computation – higher efficiency, safety and security in the medical domain, while preserving privacy” funded by TKI (Topconsortium voor Kennis en Innovatie), a joint project between CWI, the University of Amsterdam, Philips, and the Netherlands Organization for applied scientific research (TNO).
