Mathematicians figure out maximum capacity of solar energy pro household

From January 25th to January 29th 70 mathematicians from all over the world gathered at the Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica (CWI) in Amsterdam for the 12th annual Study Group Mathematics with the Industry. They worked for a week on solving five problems which had been handed in by five businesses.

From January 25th to January 29th 70 mathematicians from all over the world gathered at the Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica (CWI) in Amsterdam for the 12th annual Study Group Mathematics with the Industry. They worked for a week on solving five problems which had been handed in by five businesses.
The mathematicians developed a new model that figures out the maximum amount of energy an average household can produce using alternative energy sources.

They also solved problems for ESA, the European Space Agency; Marin (the Maritim Research Institute Netherlands); Stork and Phytocare.
