Language requirements

For expats, English is the language of instruction at CWI and it is for everyone mandatory that all papers/articles are written in English.

In some cases you would have to supply suitable evidence that you have reached the relevant level in English before any labour agreement can be signed. In that case, we favor the standardized test results of TOEFL as evidence.

 

 

 

The minimum required component scores in the test for a positive result should be: 

  • Listening – 22
  • Reading - 22
  • Speaking – 26
  • Writing - 24

The total of the above should at least add up to 100 points.

If an applicant does not meet the minimum as mentioned above, the candidacy will not immediately be denied. In this case, a decision about the applicant's candidacy will be made after a critical discussion within CWI.
