Plagiarism is copying ideas, texts or reasoning, made by other persons and presenting these as your own. In science plagiarism is considered fraud and is inexcusable. It will end any ambition in science you may have.
The following is also considered plagiarism:
- Copying text or ideas without proper reference.
- Providing slight modifications in text, graphs or figures and presenting them as your own.
- Providing an incorrect or unclear reference so that others cannot check the source.
- Copying too much text or too many results from one particular source can also be considered plagiarism even if proper reference was made.
