Discharge modeling for plasma technology and for lightning
Research on Multiscale Plasma Modeling within the group Multiscale Dynamics (MD) is coordinated by Ute Ebert. Presently, we largely focus on modeling, analysis and simulations of transient discharges in air and other media. Such discharges appear in plasma technology and in lightning and related atmospheric phenomena. We collaborate closely with experimental plasma diagnostics, electrical engineering and geophysics. A few more details can be found on Ute's personal homepage.
