Smart Energy Systems: User Experience and Future Scenario Research
Project code: Smart Energy Systems: User Experience and Future Scenario Research
Research group: Multi-agent and Adaptive Computation (SEN4)
Project coordinator: Han La Poutré
Future developments in smart energy systems are uncertain. Analysis of
such scenarios, addressing especially the behavior of markets and
businesses in future smart grids and their users and the opportunity
for new businesses, need to be carried out. For this, software
simulation models and systems are developed for specific settings (a
part of the SES Experience Lab for ICT Labs), concerning e.g.
microgrids and/or electric cars. This addresses: Analysis on energy
market place as efficient smart energy coordination with various
market mechanisms, component based design of SES, future user
scenarios (behavior models, user interfaces and understanding, user
motivation for lower energy consumption), drivers, and business
opportunities. The project is carried out within EIT ICT Labs, as a
spearhead research project.
