The 72nd European Study Group Mathematics with Industry will be held at the Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica (CWI) in Amsterdam in the week of January 25-29, 2010. In the course of a week, between 50 and 80 mathematicians from the Netherlands and abroad will attempt to solve a number of practical problems posed by businesses.

The program is as follows: on Monday 5 or 6 industrial partners present their problems in a combined session. The mathematicians then divide up into groups to work on the problems over the course of Tuesday - Thursday. On Friday the solutions are presented to the industrial partners in a combined session.

The Study Group is sponsored by STW, NWO, CWI, KWG and the participating businesses.
