On Saturday October 10 Science Park Amsterdam will open its doors for a wide audience.

At CWI, one can enjoy contributions of Vierkant voor Wiskunde (puzzle market), Pythagoras (mathematics for children), and Arabesk (mathematical puzzles) . Children can participate in the Pretlab for Girls and the General Pretlab (both 12.30-16.30h, registration from 12.00h).

Two minilectures are held:

13.00-13.30h 'Reis naar de zon op aarde' (about mathematics and nuclear fusion) by Barry Koren, and

15.00-15.20h 'Hoe reuzenbliksems (sprites) ontstaan' (about the origin of giant lightning flashes above clouds) by Ute Ebert.
