Abstract:

In this talk, I will first present an overview of the activities of the
VITALAS (Video & Image Indexing and Retrieval in the Large Scale) European
project. One of its major challenges is the annotation of multimedia
documents (images and videos) with concepts that describe their semantic
content. This talk examines how the users' feedback (as this is logged in
their interactions with an image search engine) can be used for image
annotation.
