End-to-end quality of service in next-generation networks
Project name: End-to-end quality of service in next-generation networks (EQUANET)
Research Group: Probability and Stochastic Networks (PNA2)
Coordinator: Rudesindo Nunez Queija
Members: Sem Borst, Michel Mandjes, Rob van der Mei, Rudesindo Nunez Queija.
Partners: Lucent Technologies, TNO Telecom, Eindhoven University of Technology, University Twente.
The project is supported by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs via its agency Senter as an ICT-breakthrough project. The main goal is to develop methods to realize end-to-end Quality of Service (QoS) as requested by the end-user over multi-domain network infrastructures in a cost-effective manner. The four technical work packages of the project are:
- WP1 -– End user perception of QoS;
- WP2 -– QoS at the application and middleware layer;
- WP3 -– QoS at the network layer;
- WP4 -– End-to-end QoS.
