Changes to bus services and ring road at Science Park Amsterdam

Bus
As of 8 April, bus 40 will run once every 15 minutes. The GVB has also arranged a new rush hour service (bus 240) to run between Amstel Station and Science Park Amsterdam. This special rush hour route will run once every 15 minutes during peak hours, thereby reducing wait times on the journey between Amstel Station and Science Park Amsterdam to 7.5 minutes.

As of 8 April, buses will stop at various stops on the Science Park ring road. Up until the redesign of Kruislaan (now called Science Park), buses will only travel in one direction; upon completion they will travel in two directions.

The GVB flyer lists the new stops and their names. The stop behind Science Park 404 en 406 will remain out of service for the time being.

No buses on 7 April
On 7 April, bus 40 will travel directly from the Carolina MacGillavrylaan under the viaduct to Kruislaan and back. This means the bus will not stop at Science Park on this day. If you take the bus, use the stop opposite the VMBO School (on Carolina MacGillavrylaan) and walk the rest of the way. The GVB will hang posters at those stops the bus will not visit.

Road works
The road around Science Park Amsterdam will be ready for use on 8 April. This ring road will provide continued access to all buildings at Science Park. Kruislaan will be redesigned at a later stage, about which further announcements will follow.

We would like you to attend the following: since April 8, the priority position of the intersection Mac Gillavrylaan - former Kruislaan changed: traffic on the Mac Gillavrylaan now has precedence over that of the former Kruislaan. Unfortunately, this change is not clear from all angles. This can lead to dangerous situations for users who are accustomed to the old situation. This is transmitted to the competent authorities in town and city.
